the world's best fiber from the friendliest mill.
Fiber Construction
This is where the shape of carpet performance stands out. The patented AltoChroma™ shape actually prevents fibers from matting, losing resiliency or staining. Each yarn contains three threads twisted together with a virtually limitless array of colors.

With wear, fiber matts down and loses resiliency. |

AltoCroma™'s round, clover-like shape preserves carpet buoyancy and prevents matting, even after wear. |
Color, Color, Color
AltoChroma™'s sophisticated palette of more than 50 colors has been created by a team of Italian and American designers, and includes a striking array of metallic fibers. Its unique triple-twist thread enables a virtually infinite array of color combinations
Chemistry
(see below) Dye molecules attach to color receptors in standard solution-dyed nylon fibers. Stain resistance is applied in coating from. After that coating wears away, other substances adhere to the carpet and it is soon stained. AltoChroma™ is nearly impossible to stain because it has virtually no dye receptors. Stain resistance is actually built into the fiber and will not wear or clean away.
