Warranty
These warranties apply exclusively to Aureus carpets made using Alto Chroma fiber. Using these products in areas where traffic is inappropriate for carpet (as specified in Aureus materials), or failure to adhere to a regular carpet maintenance regimen (as outlined in Aureus literature) voids these warranties.

Alto Chroma Lifetime Stain Removal Guarantee
Aureus Design Systems warrants that, for the Life time from the date of original purchase, this Performance Certified Carpet, made with Alto Chroma solution dyed nylon yarn, and not adding any applications of color using conventional dye methods, when installed and maintained as recommended by Aureus, will resist permanent stains caused by spills of all substances, subject to the following limitations. This guarantee specifically excludes general soiling, discoloration, appearance change due to pile distortion, and exposure to substances, or contaminants that degrade or destroy nylon yarn or the color of the carpet. Also, this guarantee specifically excludes carpet which has been surface-treated with materials not recommended or approved by Aureus, or which has been subjected to abnormal use or conditions or to cleaning agents or maintenance methods not recommended or approved by Aureus.

THIS IS NOT A CLEANING CONTRACT. In order to make a claim under this guarantee, the owner must have attempted to remove the stain within three working days after occurrence of the spill, USING ONLY THOSE CLEANING AGENTS AND PROCEDURES RECOMMENDED BY AUREUS, and must notify Aureus immediately if stain removal is not successful. For approved cleaning agents and removal procedures, maintenance recommendations and other conditions of this guarantee, refer to the Alto Chroma, Guidelines for Maintenance and cleaning (also included in this catalog.) In addition, the owner must furnish to Aureus Design Systems the ORIGINAL PROOF OF PURCHASE and non-returnable samples of the carpet for testing, and must permit a Aureus Representative access to the installed carpet in order to attempt to remove the stain. If, in testing and analysis performed by Aureus, and subject to the other limitations set forth herein, the tested carpet or the cleaned area is found to have a rating of less than 4 under the AATCC Gray Scale for Evaluating Change in Color, Aureus will pay for the attempted removal of the stain by the Aureus Representative a, and replace the original carpet in the affected area, up to 100 times the size of the stain, free of charge including installation. No charged for floor preparation or for movement or replacement of equipment, furnishings, partitions, etc., will be allowed. At Aureus option, it will refund the owner the original purchase price of the carpet in the affected area up to 100 times the size of the stain. If the stain is removed using Aureus recommended procedures, all stain removal costs will be the responsibility of the owner.

This warranty states the entire liability of Aureus Design Systems with respect to the product warranted, except for any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular use, which are hereby limited to the duration of the applicable express warranty. In particular, these warranties do not cover incidental or consequential damages of any kind, nature or description which may be claimed as a result of carpet failure or carpet replacement. (Note: Some stated prohibit limitations on the duration of implied warranty, as well as the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. These warranties give you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state.)

Aureus Lifetime Carpet Static Limited Warranty
Aureus guarantees that, for the practical carpet life, this product – when installed and maintained within manufacturer guidelines, will be shock proof to humans, within the following limitations: If shock affects human comfort, the owner must notify the maker and permit Aureus to test the product. If, during that testing and subject to other limits contained here, the carpet produces static in excess of 3.5 kv (the threshold of normal human sensitivity is 3.5 kv), when tested in adherence with AATCC test method 134 at 20% humidity and 70° F., Aureus will replace the original carpet in the area of room, without charge, including installation, excluding charges for moving or replacing equipment, furnishings, partitions, etc.

Aureus 5-Year Golf-Spike Wear Limited Warranty
Aureus warrants that, for five (5) years from original purchase, this carpet, when installed and maintained as recommended, will retain no less than 90% of its pile fiber, subject to these limitations; Excludes carpet installed over stairs or ramps. This warranty excludes tears, cuts or burns, or pile loss or damage resulting from excessive pivoting, improper use or to the application of non-recommended cleaning agents or maintenance regimens. It is applicable to all indoor areas on the golf club, including those subject to golf-spike traffic. This guarantee covers fiber loss only and does to cover or imply warranty against matting, pilling, color change or other characteristics of appearance retention except that resulting from fiber loss in excess of the warranty limits.

Aureus 10-Year Wear Limited Warranty
Aureus warrants that, for ten (10) years from original purchase date, this carpet, when installed and maintained within manufacturer recommendations, will retain no less than 90% of its pile fiber, with consideration to the following limitations: Warranty does not include use of carpet on stairs. The warranty does not cover tears, burns or cuts or pile loss or damage resulting from improper use or the applying of non-recommended cleaning agents or maintenance regimens or lack of protection beneath roller caster chairs. If wear performance if found unacceptable, the owner must notify the maker and permit Aureus to test the product. Subject to these stipulations, if the carpet has lost more than 10% of its pile fiber, Aureus will replace the original carpet in the affected room or area, free of charge, including installation excluding charges for moving or replacing equipment furnishings, partitions, etc.

Colorfast Carpet Limited Warranty
Aureus warrants that this carpet made exclusively with Alto Chroma fiber when installed and maintained as the maker recommends, for indoor settings only, and subject to the other stipulations set forth herein will be colorfast against exposure to light and atmospheric contaminants as specified.

Colorfastness to Light:
Aureus warrants that, for ten (10) years from purchase date or for a period not exceeding 200 Xenon Fadeometers hours of such exposure, which ever occurs first, this carpet will not display significant color change resulting from light exposure.

To make a claim related to this warranty, the owner must notify the maker and provide Aureus non-returnable carpet samples for testing. If, in Aureus testing and adhering to all other stipulations contained herein, the carpet proves to have a rating of 3 or less under the Gray Scale for Evaluating Change in Color, AND that the rating is deemed the result of light exposure for a time not exceeding 200 Xenon Fadeometer hours, when tested in adherence with AATCC test method 16-1993, Aureus will replace the original carpet in the affected room or area, free of charge, including installation, excluding charges fro moving or replacing equipment, furnishings, partitions, etc.

Colorfastness to Atmospheric Contaminants:
Aureus warrants that, for ten (10) years from original purchase date, this carpet will not display significant color change resulting from light exposure.

To make a claim related to this warranty, the owner must notify the maker and provide Aureus non-returnable carpet samples for testing. If, in Aureus testing and adhering to all other stipulations contained herein, the carpet proves to have a rating of 3 or less under the Gray Scale for Evaluating Change in color, AND that rating is deemed the result of Ozone exposure for a period not exceeding 8 cycles, when tested in adherence with AATCC test method 164-1992, or Oxides of Nitrogen exposure for a period not exceeding 8 cycles, when tested in adherence with AATCC method 164-1992, Aureus will replace the original carpet in the affected room or area, free of charge, including installation, excluding charges for moving or replacing equipment, furnishings, partitions, etc.
